.  This badge is silver/gray and has two stars to signify Cold War Patrols or Special Operations.  This badge is a U.S. Navy unknown submarine class on the surface.  Fast Attack Submarine Sailors don't have a badge for their long periods at sea or Special Operations.  This badge could be an unofficial reward for their service.  The photos pretty much tell the story.   The badge has two clutch posts on the back for attachment.
