M27 Newton 130PDS SVBONY SV305 CLS filter
Sony has developed the approx 2.13M effective pixel back illuminated CMOS image sensor IMX290LQR with improved sensitivity in the visible-light and near infrared light regions for industrial applications.
128MB DDR Buffer
The SV305 has a built-in 128MB DDRII image buffer. The benefit of the image buffer is that the memory will cache the image and transfer it to the computer when the USB interface is not busy or being interrupted, and the frame will not be lost or corrupted. This buffer also allows a slower computer with USB 2.0 socket to capture every frame without loss even if the USB socket is occasionally busy with other peripherals. This buffer also makes it possible to run multiple cameras using one computer without USB transfer problems.
Back-illuminated structure with 2.9um-square unit pixel
High sensitivity characteristics (two or more times that of the existing product)
Improved sensitivity in the near infrared light region (three or more times that of the existing product)
Support WDR (multiple exposure WDR, DOL-WDR)
Versatile interface (CMOS parallel, low-voltage LVDS serial, MIPI CSI-2)
Back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS Sensor
The SV305 uses an extremely sensitive CMOS sensor, the Sony IMX290. This sensor has very high QE, and very low (0.7e-) read noise, which improved sensitivity in the visible-light and near infrared light regions for industrial applications.
Any Area ROI Support
The SV305 has ROI function. A smaller region of interest (ROI) is read out from the sensor, leaving the image scale of the object being imaged, unchanged. Allow arbitrary resolutions to be set.
ADC 12bit
The SV305 camera offers 8 bit RAW output or 12 bit.
Installing windows driver and ASCOM driver in windows system, SV305 can run firecapture software.

Some questions you may care about:
1.How to Use?
a,
The SVBONY SV305 camera has its own driver and SDK. So more settings could be adjusted and please the customers. Before you use the SV305 camera, you should download the driver and sharpcap software first. Here is the site:
https://www.svbony.com/Support/SoftWare-Driver
b,
Install the driver and software to your computer.
C
, connect the sv305 camera to your computer usb port, and put SV305 camera into the diagonal hole,
D,
enter the sharpcap software, choose the Svbony sv305, adjust the telescope focus wheel, to find the clear image on the screen.
Note 1:
the SV305 camera is GRGB color space, so you may get a green image if you didn’t adjust the settings well.
Note 2:
the SV305 is Color Camera, and it has RAW & RGB format. If you choose the RAW format, you could get the mono color image. It means the white and black color original image. If you choose the RGB24 format, then you will get a color image. For example the colorful flowers, the beautiful birds, the blue sky and green landscape.
2.
Why the Gain only shows 0 -- 28.1 ?
For the gain control, the SDK currently reports a minimum value of 10 and a maximum value of 300. SharpCap shows this instead as a range from between 1.0 to 30.0.
The reason for this is that the gain value that SharpCap shows is then a meaningful number – gain 7.5 is 7.5 times brighter than minimum gain, gain 20 is 20 times brighter than minimum gain and so on.
3.
Why not add the USB3.0 port on SV305 camera ?
We all known the USB3.0 is faster than the USB2.0 in the transport speed. You may know the SV205 camera is USB3.0, this is our first test with the USB3.0 on our camera. However, the 8MP image is so big to transit to the capture software, and saving to the computer holder. So it is not that fast as we expected.
