Solid Brass Insurance Plaque for United States F&G - 17lbs - Patriotic - America

Description

For sale is this very rare plaque for the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company - 1896.  The age of this plaque is unknown, though it is likely less than 30 years old.
It is of a very high quality and made of solid brass.  The brass finials are are threaded and screw onto the main body.
This piece weights 16.99 lbs and measures 18" from the tips of the finials and 21.5" if measured from the tips of the eagle's wings.
As can be seen in the pictures, there are threaded rods present on the reverse, likely used to mount to a wall or building.
This plaque makes a bold statement. I took pictures on different backgrounds to show how it presents in different settings.
