Denon DP51F

Description

This Denon DP 51F fully automatic direct drive turntable is in very good cosmetic condition and good working order.
I will include an audiophile grade Shure M97xE cartridge as well as a spare Shure M75e both with low overall hours.
The base, tonearm and platter of the unit are near mint the dust cover has a few scratches and a ring mark (visible in photo ) that was there when I bought it (possibly from a sticker) but no cracks or other dings.
The unit functions well except the auto start will occasionally hang up in which case I simply hit return and operate manually. The auto stop and shutoff work fine.
I believe the unit dates back to around 1981. I have owned it for about 10 years with no real issues except as noted. I am a vinyl lover so it has been handled with care and used lightly perhaps 1-2 hours per week.
Denon turntables from this era were made in Japan to high standards and are considered to be some of the best direct drive models ever made. Some of their full manual units go for twice what I ask for this one so this is a value especially when combined with the Shure M97xE which alone sells for 0 or more used.
