    Description

Offered is this vintage "Playbill" program from the National Theatre in Washington, DC for the musical "Man of La Mancha". The program is from February, 1967, early in the production's first national tour, which began the previous September and continued through March of 1970. Jose Ferrar appears in the starring role; he would leave the show just two months later. Also included is an attached multi-page foldout insert, "The World Festival" program of performing arts and activities for Expo '67, the upcoming Montreal World's Fair. There is also an article giving brief preview of the artistic side of Expo '67 (see photos #6-#9).
In addition to the information about the production, the program contains several theater articles, including one about Soupy Sales, and is filled with great period ads for products like cars, cosmetics, clothing, cigarettes, whiskey and more, as well as ads for local restaurants. The program is in very good condition, with pages well-attached to the cover and no tears, although there are a few wrinkles. There is a small bit of wear to the cover and some light soiling.
